Christmas 2008

Santa brought David this car full of balls. He had a great time playing.

"H' lo"

Both Josh and Ben got these really cool bow and arrows - only they shoot marshmallows!!!
Brilliant idea and tons of fun.

Santa brought Isabel a Ruthie doll

Ben's pretty stoked about a new outfit from Grandpa Donut.

Ben's getting ready to fire one off. He and Josh (and the rest of the family) had a blast all Christmas day with these "Bow and Mallows."

Marshmallow Wars!!!
David was hilarious when the boys would have a marshmallow fight. He'd frantically run around the room trying to pick up the shot 'ammo' and shove them in his mouth before Ben or Josh could get them for reloading.

David got a new sled, though he uses it more indoors than out right now.

BOYS!!!

David actually really got into the opening of gifts this year. He didn't care about what was inside so much as the ripping off the wrapping paper and sometimes ripping the box apart.

He's one determined little guy!

This year Kevin and I finished the kids rooms as a Christmas gift to the kids. It was a lot of work (I don't think I'd ever do it again with little ones and just days before Christmas), and a lot of early mornings and late nights, BUT I think everything turned out great and the kids were ECSTATIC about it. Their reaction made it all worth it.

Isabel's room

The boys' room
You can't really see from the photo, but we painted the walls tan.

And on the other wall is this:

Fun Christmas memories,

but, it is nice to be on this side of Christmas. Enjoying the holiday and time together rather than enduring all the stress!

Thank You. . .

Hey, lookie lookie! I was finally able to get a background to work.

Thank you Barbara and Shelley!

So, now that I've done that, I'll probably just go back to my white background - only because I'm a big fan of simplicity. Really I just wanted to know that I could successfully put a background up, and many of you know the difficulties, despair (and emotions (: ) I've gone through trying to succeed. So I hope you enjoy the new background.
It is quite festive . . . okay, maybe I'll keep it up for a couple of weeks.

*and thank you to TCBOTB for finally posting an update on how to apply a background using the "add a gadget" instead of "add a page element". Though it would have been more helpful about, oh . . . 6 months ago! *
